Artistic Dental is conveniently located, just south of Camelback Road and west of 24th Street. We are fortunate to have our office in the Biltmore area surrounded by some of the best shopping and restaurants. As a locally owned dental practice, we especially like to support the locally owned restaurants in the area. While there are many to choose from, here is a list of our staff’s favorites:

5 favorite Biltmore area lunch spots:

  • Grassroots Kitchen & Tap: This family-owned restaurant opened its second location in our neighborhood in 2014 (lucky for us!) Lunch and dinner is served daily. The delicious made from-scratch menu is classic Southern-influenced American cuisine with plenty to choose from. The service is family-friendly, and it is great for large groups or a party of two. For after work hours there is a menu of craft beers and wines (both available on tap) and signature cocktails. You can request a table or booth, relax at the bar or enjoy the spacious patio area when the weather is nice.
  • Berthas: Bertha’s Café is owned and operated by Beth Goldwater, who grew up in Phoenix. Bertha’s was originally located near 40th St. and Thomas – we were very happy when she moved to 32nd Street, closer to our office. It started as a bakery and Beth soon found she had a knack making great sandwiches. The red pepper and goat cheese salad is delicious, and we also love the asparagus and havarti panini. Bertha’s also has some of the best breakfast sandwiches and muffins. Just remember to save room for dessert!
  • Pizzeria Bianco: Voted the best in the U.S., Pizzeria Bianco is definitely a real treat to have just a few blocks away. The first location opened in Downtown Phoenix in 1987 and is known for its delicious menu and long waits. The restaurant features a wood-fired oven with the homemade dough and mozzarella cheese fashioned by the owner and chef, the renowned Chris Bianco. When he opened in 2013, in the Biltmore Area, we quickly became frequent customers.
  • Blanco: Need a spot to celebrate Taco Tuesday? We can practically walk to Blanco, located at Biltmore Fashion Park. When looking for something quick, you can go to the window and order street tacos to go or eat at one of the outdoor tables. Blanco has nice indoor dining as well if you want to order from the full menu.
  • Federal Pizza: We had to include this one, because the pizza and salads are amazing, and it is the only gourmet drive-thru pizza spot! Yes, you can order ahead and go through the drive-thru to pick it up. Located in the restored 1950’s First Federal Bank, Federal Pizza is a midcentury-meets-modern restaurant specializing in wood fired pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, and salads. If you don’t need to go back to work or you hit this place later in the day this place has a great selection of wines, old school wine coolers and craft beer on tap and in bottles. Our favorite is the lunch time special where you can choose any ½ pizza and salad for just $10.50.

We are fortunate to call the Biltmore Area home to Artistic Dental. While we shared a few of the places we love, there are so many more in the area to choose from. If you have a favorite lunch spot nearby, please share. The only other recommendation we have, is keep a toothbrush and floss in your desk or purse, so you do a quick brush and floss after every meal.
