I grew up in Arcola, Illinois, a town of only 3,000 residents. My family often vacationed in Phoenix, and I always loved the area. In December 2013, I relocated with my son and joined the Artistic Dental team in 2014. I love spending time outdoors hiking, swimming and cheering on my son’s traveling baseball team.
Growing up, I was inspired to go into dentistry by my grandfather who was a dentist, as well as my own experience with my dentist who fixed my front teeth when they were left discolored from an accident. I learned how an imperfect smile can cause insecurities and always admired the dentist who was able to give me the smile that I always desired. After one particular visit, I talked with the dental hygienist about her career and decided that this would be a great field to pursue.
I love building new relationships with people while educating them and helping them improve their oral health. In addition to my training as a hygienist, in May 2015 I completed my Bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University and officially became a Sun Devil grad.
